As they say, there are lies, there are damn lies, and then there are statistics. If you look more closely at the data, you may concede that the ratio is skewed in the 15-64 age group for these countries. To explain this, look at the net migration rate as well. As you should know, most migrants to these countries are male. The net migration rate would account for all of the discrepancy. On balance, it seems that India's male-female ratio is at least as bad, and could be worse than that of the West Asian countries. Your conclusion that the problem is "much more severe" in Saudi Arabia is flawed.
Regardless(or irregardless as many Americans like to say), that is neither here nor there. The fact is that millions of baby girls and female fetuses are being end every year in India, and that is a problem that needs to be addressed. It's not just end or Look at your mother, your aunts, your sisters, your nieces.....imagine that they were end just for being female, and then tell me that it's okay because you think Saudi Arabia is worse. Pointing a finger to other countries, whether they have a higher rate or not, is NOT the solution, nor is it justification. That mentality annoys the heck out of me. You need to aspire to the best standards, and not settle for being just better than the worst.
