As opposed to a country that feeds criminals money for the same. Seems common sense to me. They're going to get it anyway.
The country that has wiped out a major portion of it's organised crime, and saved an absolute fortune in law enforcement and medical costs (due to quality control) and has finally moved into the 21st century. Sadly, there aren't too many countries like that. The lessons of US alcohol prohibition sadly went unheeded by the deadhead leaders of pretty much every country.
Anyone with half a brain can tell the difference between a victimless crime and a crime with a victim. Ask someone with half a brain to explain the difference to you some time.

Just to clear things up, I fully support the use of a rest penalty for crimes that involve a victim such as pedophilia, rape or liquidate and I fully support Singapore's sovereign right to say f*** you to the rest of the world because it's your law and he went there and broke it, I only dispute the drug laws you have, and I dispute my own country's laws on that issue too. End of story.
