Like what Huner said in another post. At least the Asian law (although falible) actually deals with the criminals and the victims can feel safer. Unlike the laws in the western world where the victim feels unsafe while the criminals are given light sentences and the either reoffent or take revenge.
It certainly shows how falible the western laws are so I'd rather take the Asian laws then.
Yeah... Where? How long? Were you with a tourist group? At least I have lived for a ferw years in South East Asia for work, lived with the community, paid taxes there, used their public transport and abided by their laws.
You are always on the back foot from the very start about cannabis usage. Why are you so much on the back foot defending the situation? Are you the ones that is hooked on it which comes to substabce abuse?
Corruption you may believe. I also believe that even Australia the so called civilised country is rifled with corruption but the public just cannot see it.
Why is it in a civilised country, we have criminals freely committing abhorant acts and getting worse and worse while the uncivilised Asian countries deals with them and the community at large is safe.
You think that a Asian country like Singapore is uncivilised? They are much more cleaner than downtown Melbourne and they have a infrastructure that poos on any capital city in Australia.

Back to the original posting is that a child of 16 years of age was caught in Asian with drugs and now is sentenced to 13-years jail.
Despite what I believe, you go to another country then abide by their laws so why do you think that the Australian pbuttport brings you immunity to foreign laws. You watch too many American movies where you hear those stupid women scream out....... "You can't do that, ! am an American"
