Thats not always the case. Some Asian places are havens for child exploitation and theres bugger all done about it.
At least if we had that sort of blatant poo going on here, we'd have people willing to knock the bastards on the head to eradicate the problem, rather than ignore it...
Plenty of Asian women are forced into prosbreastution also, and not much is done about that... I say women.. some are very much still kids.
It's easy to say they are harsh, but it's only when it suits them.
Not in my view. Not by a long shot.
They arrest you for spitting, or for chewing gum in Singapore.
I dont want that poo here, nor do I want the acceptance of love crimes that is prevalent in a lot of Asian countries.
We're talking about Drug laws.
Now if a 16 year old goes to an asian country and tries to smuggle drugs, he's not a 9, 10 or 12 year old who would be required to be accompanied (in most places) by an adult, and therefore he is guilty on that basis alone. Any extenuating circumstances surrounding his case arent the issue in this thread.
But dont equate Asian laws with our laws and say theirs is better, when clearly they are not. Theirs are just as fallible as ours, just harsher.
countries.. It's not an infallible system they have, either.
It's just that we err on the side of Life..
However your point is valid.
I'd personally still live in Australia... funny, but cleanliness is not next to godliness in this case..
Fully Agree.
You go to another country and break their laws - and if you are found guilty - then you are to be penalised under their legal system.
No problem whatsoever with that. I will disagree with their penalties, but not how they apply their law. People KNOW the consequences. If people choose to be idiots, then well, maybe they shouldnt be breathing MY air.
