re: Situation in Iraq and urging international action
Dear PresidenYudhoyono:
I am writing to call your attention to the the terrible situation in Iraq and asking helps from you as an international statesman who is influential on the world’s petroleum exporting countries. I particularly ask the OPEC countries to raise their oil price to the level above $75.0 bl-USD until American and British troops withdraws from Iraq.
In March 2003, the government of United States along with that of Great Britain and Australia had invaded Iraq and remove the military dictatorship there. These so-called “Coalition of the Willings” had undertook the military intervention in violation against the Charters of United Nations. These governments invaded Iraq with the pretax of Iraqi regime possessing Weapons of Mbutt Destruction, a allegation that has now proved to be fabricated and falsified one.
Aftermath of the invasion of Iraq, the American and British administrations had changed their tune and now saying that their genuine purpose for the invasion of Iraq was to install a democratic government there. Two general elections were held since and Iraq now has a democratically elected parliamentarians.
On July this year, the Iraqi Parliamentary Speaker as well as government ministers were requesting the American and British troop withdrawals. However, the “Coalition of the Willing” did not provide any exit date from Iraq and clearly set to prolong military occupation as well as further colonization of Iraq. There are disturbing daily reports about American sponsored rest squads engaging in the killing of Iraqi civilians in an attempt to subdue the opposing population.
I therefore ask Mr. President take necessary step so that OPEC raise oil price until American, British and Australian troops withdraw from Iraq.
Yours respectfully and sincerely
(U Ne Oo)
