Actually this case was brought by one of the politically active atheists. There seems to be many of those people here who are bound to be heard for some reason. That group and the ACLU, an organization that was to be present to be sure that all are given fair consideration , have done a lot of this type of action. This organization is full of many types of people who have skewed things in the most unusual ways, that it now is doing crazy-making court cases and troubles for many. I don't have any idea where it will all end up or how it will ever be resolved. It is all just a bit too silly, and I am concerned that it will totally destroy the true history and development of our country for future generations. Our current development is surely questionable.
As to the Ten Commandments plague, the Muslims share those with Christianity and Judaism, as we are all Abrahamic religions based on those very principles.
It is all too exaggerated but that seems to be the way of things these days--too much exaggeration and hype over everything. It boggles my mind to think of how any of this will be lived out in the future. It really ruins so much of past memories and puts an extreme damper on how one views the community, because some unusual person may get some silly idea and take it all the way to the Supreme Court. Our courts, attorneys, and legal systems seem to be bound into the most tedious process, and one has to wonder how justice can be done with fairness and consideration of all. Certainly the American myths (those necessary things to the feeling of pride in a country) are being challenged on a daily basis. There is nothing that one can take for granted anymore and that is very disorienting and upsetting at best.
