I have a theory that Kanga might be mobility impaired. I notice that very occasionally he posts a paragraph in all lowercase, but usually in all uppercase. If thats so we really shouldn't hang poo on him. If he's just too lazy to bother with the shift key though, he deserves a good boot up the backside.
He's barking up the wrong tree claiming Oz is trying to oust the East Timor PM though. The situation there is very complex, with unresolved issues that date back to the civil war of 1975. The Timorese need to work things out for themselves, Australia attacking one side of the conflict on behalf of the other will not solve anything.
I heard an experienced UN peacekeeper on the radio the other day telling how host governments often expected the UN to attack rebels on their behalf. They were upset when the UN stuck to their mandate and enforced peace, attacking whoever raised weapons in anger be they government or rebel soldiers.
That is what we are seeing from Aussie troops in Timor at present. They are there to enforce peace, not to take sides.
