It was just a reminder that in this world that we live in it would be advisable to buttume nothing until it has been proved. In the past few years we have seen the disaster buttuming can cause. We(not all of us) buttumed Iraq had WMD and could hit a target in less then 45 minutes. We buttumed that the Iraqis were going to welcome us with open arms.We saw the "liberation" live only to find out it was all staged.

And of course poor Shapelle who was buttumed guilty because the drugs were in HER bag. And not a hope in hell of ever really being able to clear herself. How do you name the person-s who put the drugs in your bag without being guilty by knowing this information?

Considering that a staggering amount of people still believe that WMDs were found in Iraq it is just safer to err on the side of caution. And if it wasn't Aussies that did this.....the mud may just stick.

For anyone interested, here in Brisbane we are following a story on 4BC from a man who rang Chris Adams yesterday afternoon. He told Chris he was one of the couriers who took drugs to Bris airport to be hidden in baggage and catering equipment for the trip to Sydney. 80kgs were packed onto the plane Shappelle caught that day but only 76 kg made it off the plane. He said he was in fear of his life,suggested that the operation went high up into the police department. He commented on the fact that if you looked hard enough into the news that followed her arrest you would see at least 4 people who not longer exist. Taken care of as they wanted to come forward to help her. There was more told off air but Chris was appealing to him this afternoon to please ring him back. Now I not going to buttume too much just yet but he did sound genuine. There was more to the conversation than that and he seemed genuinely nervous about what he was doing and was trying to find a way to tell more without putting himself in danger. Only time will tell if anything comes of it.
