Ferdie - Multi culturalism was a dream from the 60's, and in retrospect had about as much chance of success as the Etsel.
To create a big melting pot you need a combination of cultures, but more, the ability and willingness of those cultures to mix
And that is the problem - the inability of some total immigrant communities, and their generational offspring, to buttimilate into the new society.
Australia has let in a lot of cultures, and most of them have added to this country. It may have taken generations, but who now (as an example) would be without the additives the Greek and Italians have given Oz.
But the Lebanese are a new issue.
What is it with this f***ing race - they offer nothing but trouble wherever they go (look at the trouble they bring around the world).
Gangs, drugs, liquidateers and rapists - the Lebanese seem to glorify in their actions and do not have the ability to see that these are not the qualities another country wants them to bring into it.
What a f***ed race - I know it is not all of them, but there are enough to tarnish them all, and their lack of ability to see wrong in their actionsshows total community stupidity and arrogance.
Just look at Keysar Tran as the clbuttic example - 'stupid on legs'.
Multi-culti (as you say) what a f***ing joke.
