Thats what happens when your officer is appointedd on TQs rather than street experience.
A story I heard from another Sydney ethnic enclave, probably around the same time, went quite differently.
Excessive noise claim, occupants in full party mode and liquored up. Cops arrive, tell them to turn down the music. They do. As soon as the cops leave the music gets turned back up.
Depending on the officer on duty it could go one of two ways.
1) Ethnic negotiation team attends and attempts to reason with a house full of arseholes who are peeed out of their brains and looking for entertainment. Music gets turned up on full. More arseholes turn up, taunt the cops and eventually violence and property damage ensues.
2) (what happened) The (2) first response cops go back, knock on the door, king hit whoever opens the door between the eyes. Walk over to ghetto blaster, raise it above head height and smash it on the floor. They use batons to smack the crap out of enraged occupants until no-one wants to fight anymore.
1) does nothing to help enforce the law and protect the rights of surrounding residents, but it is PC.
2) requires courage, is not PC, is actually illegal, but it works.
Sounds like Sutherland needs some cops who know a bit about option 2. (But they were all over in Campbelltown last I heard)
