At the end of the day people are people. As the world becomes more global it's becoming moreso, but cultural differences are still causing friction with the less tolerant, and this sort of thing just arcs it all up. Give it another century and we'll either all be dead or we'll have a fairly global world. I wont be around then, neither will you, but it'd be nice to see things going towards the better alternative before the ciggies get me.
Agreed, but I can sort of understand why the law is like that (both in Oz and Indonesia), it's near impossible to prove absolute guilt in most cases, and imagine what real criminals would be doing if it really took that to convict as opposed to just in theory. That being said I think Corby probly is innocent (although I've gone from 90% on that to around 60% on that considering a few factors that I've been reading recently), but then I think the same about the Chika Honda case (still leaning towards the 90% with her). Life ain't fair unfortunately.
