From your own post: "All the world religions eschew mind altering drugs" She was a Muslim and, by her own admission, taking drugs.

So she may well have been accepted into the Islamic faith, but did not take it seriously herself until she found herself in the poo.

She was 'Godless' for 22 years. She then found Islam and within 6 months was taking ecstacy. For me to attempt to claim that Islam drove her to taking drugs would be folly. For you to blame her drug taking on Godlessness is even sillier, given the timeline involved.

I agree totally.

Correct, but that has less to do with Godlessness than it does a lack of good judgement. Common sense is not the exclusive realm of religious people.

Correct, which is what I was saying earlier.

I am not being uncharitable at all. I am not even skeptical of her (apparent) new found respect for her religion.

Would you care to point out what part of my posts in this thread have displayed a lack of compbuttion?

Not quite; no non-litigant can put their name on a court paper without being duly licensed in the relevant jurisdiction; I am aware of the services that will prepare an array of papers...

The only problem I have with religion is the way in which people bastardise it to suit their own purposes. I have absolutely no problem with the religions themselves. As I said in my earlier post - they all have the same basis of treating each other fairly. What I dislike about it is when it is used as a rallying point for extremists (of any faith) to unite people for the purpose of killing others.

Neither. Some religions preach that when you die you go to heaven (or their own equivalent). Others say that you will be reincarnated. I believe that when you die, you die.

My beliefs are no more or less valid or provable than those of any other religion.

All religions do the same.

snip We can make our legal system more convoluted by design, thus increasing the demand...

Elizabeth In your legal practice, you may prefer not to employ legal aides at all. But those among your compebreastors who do, and who then outsource as much of that grunt...
