BLOODY QUEENSLANDERS....... 309
pedro That was in relation to the question of whether you're a dole bludger, because if you are than you ain't working clbutt cos you ain't working. Kids tend to...

No, because utilities are a public service and should not be driven by a profit motive, but should be a non-profit enterprise designed to facilitate the need of all Australians, regardless of profit, at the cost of the taxpayer. poo, Telecom (Telstra now) used to make a packet even with the complacency, but they never did get it right for the country areas, think some f***wit already had the profit motive in mind well before privatisation, and since privatisation it's only gone from bad to worse, and the biggest victims are their techies who actually have pride in their work but aren't allowed to show it due to restrictive deadlines and lack of resources, and the public paying for that! And things have now gone further to poo due to the labor wankers initiating the sales, and the liberal wankers falling into line right behind them to complete the "bend over". If them remaining publicly owned had lead to complacency and lack of productivity, bad f***ing luck, it's better than profit deciding whether or not your utility services are going to work correctly or not.

You'd hardly call it communism any more - that's just a breastle for a dictatorship of one political party that has as its main aim the perpetuation of its own power. There are no communes...

And capitalism push. They're experimenting and doing it well. They've recognised that a good balance of left and right is required for a good economy to be made. Something we used to have, but seems to be screwing up recently.

Far from it, even before the Brits got there they were one of the mercantile hubs of the world.

Dead right, but a constrictive business system (as was their hardcore system of communism) pretty much decimates prosperity, they finally worked that out and brought the good parts of capitalism back, now watch them fly, they'll be the new super-power if everyone isn't careful (and no they weren't before, lots of tanks and nukes doesn't make a power in the new world, that combined with the economic power they are now building into is going to be something to see, for better or worse, considering the lack of change in human rights in that country).
