That was in relation to the question of whether you're a dole bludger, because if you are than you ain't working clbutt cos you ain't working.
Kids tend to get you a bucket on welfare, hence the term "baby factory" for unscrupulous slags that decide to have kids to get the money to neglect their kids and pay for drugs. I know of slags like that. As for mortgage, I didn't make their choice for them to buy a house, I've always lived on rent and managed it quite well on either welfare or work. Lifestyle choices will always affect your ability to pick and choose in the rest of your lifestyle.
Kids will always make the cost of living for an income earner (as opposed to welfare bludger) much higher, but having kids in itself is a lifestyle choice. You're an irresponsible parent if you choose to have kids when you can't afford to. If you have kids by "mistake" (which happens a lot) or your income drastically changes after you've already had kids, then yeah, it might become a bit of a struggle, and they're the only people I have any compbuttion for when it comes to claims of "I can't afford to live" (from anyone else it's plain bullpoo), because a good parent is always going to want to give his-her kids everything they need, and that ain't cheap at all, especially when lil' Billy or Suzy feel like a poo-heel if you can't provide one.
