Whatever is the reason behind the re-arresting of these famous student leaders, it definitely shows very clearly that the military regime's ruthlessness and brutal nature is unchangeable and unchanged... .......

the re-arrest of 1988 student leaders indicates that the military has not loosened up its iron-fist rule in the twenty-first century. It also shows that the fearless 88 generation student leaders are a political force to reckon with, even though they do not form an opposition political party. .............

If the Student Leaders of the 88 Generation say "The time is right for an uprising", the citizens of Burma will take their words to their hearts and will not hesitate to carry out an uprising. This is what the regime greatly fears.............

Then the international community will follow suit and Than Shwe will be forced to cave in...........
