Singapore government is very efficient in corrupting the mind of their citizens. I am not sure whether they fear government, but they do trust them blindly, like a child that has absolute faith in its mother. I am very surprised about the Singapore people I met how pbuttive and indifferent they are towards politics and other forms of injustice. If you ask their opinion about the hanging of NTV, then most of them will simply not have one.

As a European I find it very difficult to live in a society where you are not supposed to question the motives and actions of people that stand higher on the social ladder than you. For example, you go to a doctor, then don't you dear to question his diagnosis, and they just give you a bag of pills without the name of the medication and other patient information normally included. You are just supposed to accept everything without thinking. Although this is just an example, this seems to reflect the way of life in SIngapore.
Meanwhile, the ordinary people are working like drones, without labour unions defending their rights, and with the only comfort that when they finish working at 9pm, the shops will still be open to spend their money and support the economy for the benefit of the high clbutt, that sends their children abroad.
