I have to point out to you, that I have no intention of thinking outside The Bible. If it is not of Christ, then it is anti Him, and anything that is not Him is dark. Who would want to dwell in darkness if they know they can live in The Light of Christ?
What right would I have to hurt those who have already been hurt by loveual abuse to bringing up old stories again and again and again? What right has anyone to do such a thing without the family's permission?
At the end of the day it is The Lord Jesus Christ who is their saviour and NOT a priest. The priest in simply entrusted to do a job and, and as is already known by Christian's, us sinners can succumb to the temptations of Satan if we do not pray against evil. The law will deal with their punishment as determined by fair democratic laws handed over by highly educated people, an education also determined under democracy BTW, and God will deal with their soul, this much is certain. Christian's are brought up to respect the legal process we have to deal out punishments, and if it does not serve us to change it in a lawful way.
There is no further part for you or I to play in either process, unless of course you have been qualified to by personal experience. In which case any continued bitterness could only damage your own health and soul. Only Christ's forgiveness can help you then, so that you in turn can fully forgive others.
We are who we are, you too. Jesus loves us still the same :o)
