Oops, snipping the bits out was simply for reasons of readability. I had felt I could not add any more to the stuff you written cos it would have just bog me down into arguing with you what I felt were merely capital leter in the phrase.
Nothing sinister in my snipping :)
*Shrug* whatever you say - it is not my intention to start a poo fight with you.
I guess you were asking me why it was an honour to be considered a true blue ozzie which, in my mind, would have answered the question itself of "Why?"
A more direct answer would probably have had been my next paragraph, in which I said that it was an honour, becos of the good international repute of Australia. You have already made comment on this further down in your reply so lemme address that now :)
On an individual basis, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to make ANY broad buttumptions of the kind most conversations tend to take.
I was obviously mistaken in thinking that we were discussing this in a general manner.
Despite my very naive macro views on some subjects, I treat everybody on an individual basis - I have no choice really. One of the problems of living in a civilised society :)
Everybody gets buttessed on their individual behaviour regardless of their naionality - and this supports your previous statement on individuality.
In lieu of meeting a specific individual, ppl get lumped into categories. Sad but true. It tends to breed f***wits and poo-stirrers.
