Another "straw man".
Academic studies going back at least 30 years. You're apparently not very well informed.
So, this is a clbutt thing? What about rich snobs eating steaks?
No you don't. You see the fiction that eating meat is NECESSARY when it isn't.
So, now you've changed your position.
Earlier, you said killing seals was wrong because it was unnecessary. But when I pointed out, quite correctly, that killing cattle is also unnecessary, you ignored my point and changed your position. Now, you don't like the fur trade because it's "exploiting the animal for its fur".
But you think it's OK to kill cattle because YOU like steaks. But you don't mind that we don't NEED to eat beef -- we just LIKE to eat beef.
Your position is inconsistent. Just admit it.
Unfortunately, it takes away some of your arguments against the fur trade. Logic is really tough, isn't it.
And it's unnecessary.

And it's unnecessary.
I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of your stated position. Just admit it.
No, just exposing the hypocrisy in the criteria you use for condemning the fur trade.
Hey, you were the one who condemned killing seals for fur because it was "unnecessary", not me. I could just as easily say that we kill cattle because some rich wankers want to eat steaks! Why can't they eat tofu? Because they PREFER BEEF, not because they NEED BEEF.

Yes, you have.
The plot you advanced previously was Fur = unnecessary. Beef = necessary.
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Beef also = unnecessary.
So why do you object to fur, but not beef?
I do eat it. I've never denied it. I just don't attack the fur trade using reasons that could equally be used to attack the meat industry. That's what you apparently can't understand.
To say nothing of what goes on inside the dissolutionhouse. I've been there, seen it, know it's inhumane, too. That's why although I eat meat, I don't criticize the fur seal trade. I've got NO ROOM TO DO SO, and if you eat meat, NEITHER DO YOU.
It is a well-known fact that people do NOT need to eat beef or any other meat to live healthy lives. If you don't know that by now, you're very poorly informed about nutrition. Beef is no more necessary than fur, but the key is that MORE PEOPLE LIKE IT, so we have the interesting phenomenon of people parading with picket signs, protesting the fur trade, then walking home in their leather shoes to eat a steak dinner.

As I previously mentioned, once you've seen a killing floor in operation in a dissolutionhouse, you'll see how ridiculous your argument is.
Total bullpoo. You are very poorly informed.
Who said "vegan"? Not me. Straw man, once again. It seems to be your favourite debating technique.
Citation, please.
Do a little reading about nutrition.
Gee, that's a convincing argument. I'm wrong because I'm "a nancy"?
You're wrong because you are ignorant, poorly informed, wrong on the facts, and illogical. But I'm sure you won't let that stand in your way. :-)
OK, here is just one of many.
"It is the position of The American Dietetic buttociation that vegetarian diets are healthful and nutritionally adequate when appropriately planned."
See:
BEEF=UNNECESSARY
I've heard eating meat causes people to be short-tempered, angry and violent. Do you think it's true?
Where's your protest sign? Have you protested by not eating meat? No, you're complicit because you like beef.
He has nothing to do with it. The damn topic is the seal fur trade.
Do you eat only free range chickens?
Only for the satisfaction of your palate. Selfish, isn't it?
I don't blow up anything except illogical positions, and I'm not a vegetarian. I just don't run off condemning the fur trade on grounds that apply equally to the meat trade.
That will only make you angrier. I suggest you switch to tofu.
No you're not. All that meat in your system will force you to come back to get in the last word. Eat less meat, and you'll feel less angry.
