Wander around Canberra for an afternoon and see for yourself.

It was a billion dollar f***-up because our politicians keep getting sucked in on the concept that Americans CAN do software engineering. Bloody hopeless.

Well, we agree here.

We'll be a state shortly.

You marketed communications equipment globally as well?

Pleasure.

It's just true. No doubt he's a nicer person than I, certainly more tolerant and patient, but I'm just really good at a few things. That's why I get paid loads of money.

Well, David at on stage aspired to political status, so he has an ego.....

David is the only other idiot I know that signed up for a SECOND term of service when we finally decided to do something about East Timor. Once you have served full time in the 70s and 80s it takes a special kind of lunacy to want to do it again. Over 40.

I do. Married one of them. Best friends with a dozen or more. Been in business with a few. Enjoyed lunch with one last weekend (Whiting and Greek Salad for me, she had Tofu).

Mate, if you want to talk to humble people, visit a bloody monastary.

Yawn.

Howard McCollister cut Perhaps that why my doctor has fully integrated practice management system and you bleat about resistance. Yes, clueless...

Well let's clear a few popular misconceptions about Australian IT. I don't have UNDERLINGS. Every member of my team(s) are valuable peers. From the youngest graduate to grizzled old bastards like myself. If you were to suggest the bloke that washed my Porsche on Saturday morning was an UNDERLING, that would rate you a smack in the head.

I do my own dirty work. Why? I am f***ing brilliant at it. Also, not everyone is as keen as I am when it comes to working for f*** all, flying through cyclones in little tiny planes, dragging satellite dishes of tropical barges, playing with power supplies knee deep in floods, living in areas where TB, scabies and other lurgites are endemic. Not for the faint of heart some of my jobs. I did the site inspections, Dish locations, Space system purchasing, wiring the bloody offices, programming the switches and training the young aboriginal people that where to work on the system. That particular network covers close to three million square kilometers of the tropical outback.

Have a look around sport.

You're a good guesser for a f***ing idiot. At that partikular point in time I though anyone concerned with "free" software was a bit of a dill.

What has that got to do with your claim?

What do you mean WE white man? Your leader is a buffoon and your soldiers are incompetent hayseeds. How are you going to "win" anything?

British Steel, Ford, DuPont, Jaguar, Rolls-Royce and the Royal Corps of Signals.

What was that ramble all about?

In 1991 SCO was the most popular UNIX on the planet. What part of that sentence do you find difficult?

Of course.

Mark Addinall.
