Telstra As At Now
The line about Telstra (or the "Directors of Telstra" if they still want to go on with it) being responsible for disclosure and not the government and in...

There is also a technology factor which if Telstra does not keep up with could see them out the door

Example: Copperwire connections (Telstra Monopoly)are becoming more and more redundant as wireless takes over

Already Telstra are feeling the pinch from Australia's main cities where people are turning to mobile phones

Now Intel seem to be bankrolling "UNWIRED" (UNW) a wireless Internet provider, So far they have donated $37 million outright and are lend them money replacing UNW's bankers as a lending facility. This is because Intel wish to use Australia as a testing ground for "WiMax" (not to be confused with WiFi) a story about WiMax If one combines this with Voice Over the Internet Protocol (VOIP) very cheap and even free wireless calls can be made. If in choosing a VOIP provider it is best to choose one locally for Australian connections As Skype which is very good for USa and Europe seems to lose quality in making VOIP to dialup calls to Australia and New Zealand

Australian VOIP providers can also provide you with a "virtual" phone numbers to receive calls-faxes-voicemail

I find the best fax service is provided in Australia by other than a user of their fax service I have no other connections
