And how did the crew get ahold of these children, were the parents doing anything to stop them???? If a parent didn't like the idea I'm sure they'd have been at the crew's throats, especially since they drastically outnumber the crew. buttumptions can easily be made on this one, in any case it is yet another example of the same sort of blackmail.

Many of those making the threat have no such persecution to worry about, and would also be selfish cowards if they did it, as who would be left to look after the family? And what would've been so hard about going to the nearest safehaven (as they are supposed to) and applying for refugee status from there (as they are supposed to) and never having to endure any of these circumstances in the first place? It seems obvious to me that they are the country-shoppers that give the rest of the legitimate asylum seekers a bad name.
