Evolution's myths 4578

Evolution's myths 4579
Perhaps our myth creation is something entirely different altogether. What if our 12-strand genetics were donated from 12-sentient beings off...

The one big myth that so-called 'intelligent design" proponents throw up is that evolutionists believe their explanation is perfect. The fact is that scientists are very much aware when they put up evolutionary theories that they will sometimes be wrong. That does not mean that the baby has to be thrown out with the bathwater. Science bases its explanation of evolution on fundamentally sound principles that are easily observable and can be verified in countless ways. When they see a flaw, they try to improve the model to account for it. Evolution as a process is simply a fact and observable everywhere, but no scientist is going to say that they understand the process perfectly.

I am rather puzzled by the notion of intelligent design, as it buttumes an omnipotent Intelligence is out there controlling the whole shebang. Did this Intelligence emerge as the result of some previous intelligent designer? Is it turtles all the way down?

Science cannot explain (as yet, at least) the origin of the universe or of life. It gives us theories which make as much sense as the evidence will allow. We don't have anything like that from the Intelligent designers or Creationists, who simply ignore fundamental scientific realities.
