Heretic
I was saying that "Christian values" are actually universal, they are to a large extent the same as Buddhist values for example and even moderate islamic values.
I'd say "don't care" but I actually do have very strong feelings when "Christian" groups try to impose their will on me in the form of things like
* banning scientific medical research, * campaigning for censorship (e.g. a universal filter that will block out things vocal Christian groups don't want Australians of any age and creed seeing on the Internet, a filter that will slow my internet connection and cost me money), * interference in health issues relating to drugs, AIDS & STDs, end, legalised prosbreastution, love education in schools etc. * attacking science teaching (not common in Australia but in the US there is a major problem with creationists trying to get Genesis, or as much of it as possible without being found to grossly violate the US consbreastution's separation of church and state rule, to be taught in biology clbuttes as a scientific theory as valid as evolution.)
I think separation of church and state is extremely important. Wherever religious authorities wield direct political power freedoms are curtailed, society remains backward and ignorance thrives.
