Look again. The Trots (though not every party) are the dills that spout the "general strike" line everytime the government puts some new draconian measure in place.....but they don't ask the mbuttes if THEY support the idea of a general strike, the mbuttes don't want to go hungry for nought.......now my party WOULD endorse the notion of a general strike only if there was enough capable cadres in mbutt working-clbutt organisations to buttist the production-distribution of food-services-transport. In that example, the trots take an ultra left line.
The Maoists....and my party work much better with them than with the Trots, still adhere to the "cell" format, which can be quite difficult for those that wish to join, as well as forming networks between comrades in other commie parties and those in single issue groups (eg. Peace Alliance, Union Solidarity, Public First), even their OWN members often don't know each other. The Maoists also mis-analyse a situation just as the Trots do, by not being the vanguard of the mbuttes....if the mbuttes don't want to do something, then a vanguard party should not do it off it's own bat.
Of course, I'm specifically talking about actual socialist-communist PARTY MEMBERS, not some lefty fellow traveller that claims to be a commie.
