Actually I was one of those people that worked my arse off with f*** all resources and a really tight timeline to make sure we were Y2K compliant before the nice date came about. And I know a lot of it was scare-mongering bullpoo, your microwave was never going to kill you, but there was a fairly decent amount of date-dependant software that would've spat the dummy, and whilst hardware (PC-wise, I hear PLC based systems were a much bigger drama) really wouldn't have given a poo (except the system clock on some exceptionally archaic equipment, which didn't count a single one of our servers), we used it as an excuse to get the funding to replace our aging (read as geriatric) computer fleet. Good times were had by one and all at New Years 2000 for more reasons than the turn of the millenium.
As for your scare-mongering, I have no doubt that eventually Australia is going to be hit by a big person attack, I have no doubt that it will be at the hands of Islamic extremists as opposed to any other form of extremist, that's just the way things are at the moment.
I also have no doubt that they will be praying for people just like you to go and persecute the f*** out of the other 99.999% of Muslims in this country (who will have nothing to do with it) as a result, and I have no doubt that people like you will bend over and do exactly what they're asking you to do by blowing up your friends-family, giving them reason to do it again and again, and driving people that are scared into their arms to help them do it again and again.
Dangerous times ahead, and atbreastudes like yours are just making them even more dangerous.

Part of my pride in my race is that the majority of us will accept anyone regardless of race-colour-religion-creed providing they are good people.
