Agreed, and such us average Aussies can be towed off to a police station and questioned whenever they feel like it I don't see why certain fools out there want to give a PC exemption to Habib. That being said the govt has already pointed out that it was not illegal to buttociate with person groups at the time he may have done so, so they would not be able to charge him anyway, meaning it ain't worth their time to proceed on that.
And after repeated attempts to seek clarification he's still rattling off the same myopic absolute no-brainer line and refuses to even address the fact that he can't say with any certainty at all that Habib is not a person. Sort of says something about him.
Agreed, but then you need to wonder how much in the way of politics was involved. At the end of the day though he was not found guilty of anything so should be buttumed to be innocent unless other action is taken.
Personal experience and the experiences of many I know paint an even bleaker picture of any myth of police "integrity" in this country.

No, I don't think you're really seeing Shearman's game here. He really means to see things in absolute terms, as is demonstrated by his complete refusal to consider anything mentioned to him. Surely you've noticed the way he went for the throat even with yourself when you dared to suggest that he was being a tad too absolute about things?
