Which of the pictures shows citizens being tortured?
Some appear to be dead, with no indication as to the circumstances of their rests.
Some have sustained injuries, but we're not told how. Some are being treated for injuries. One appears to have been shot in the backside with heavy shotgun pellets, but whether he was standing against a wall or fleeing a rape scene when it happened isn't clear. The same picture shown on SBS wasn't blackened out (which is no doubt intended to imply that his arsehole had been ripped out -- which it wasn't).
As for naked prisoners... strip searches are routinely conducted in Australian police stations, and probably prisons as well. Whether the police put bag over heads during multiple searches isn't known to me.

The only one who seems to be covering anything up is whoever blackened out various body parts... no doubt meaning to imply that mutilation has occurred. Otherwise not even the TV censor would bother (the pictures have all been recently shown on Australian TV, and a few more besides).
What's happened to the photographs from Saddam's era... or did they put the photographer through the shredder as well?... *They* being Saddam's crew (who were presumably all muslims).
