How Howard created the Immigration problem

The bunch of tory do-nothings in Canberra who reckon we need to import send workers are now revealed as the cause of the skills shortage itself;

"A new study accuses the Federal Government of failing to create enough university places for local students to deal with the country's skills shortage. The paper, published by researchers from Monash University, says the Government should be doing more to boost the number of domestic university-trained professionals."

Those bastards are gouging the taxpayer with RECORD HIGHEST TAXES in our nations history.. not just in absolute $ value, because that would grow just from population and econmic growth.. they have the HIGHEST EVER TAXES as a PERCENTAGE OF GNP!!!!

And yet they give back the shonkiest, inadequate, crumbling services.. and still turn them into privatizede USER PAYS! B^p

Howard not only causes our Aussie kids to miss out on Uni places because they go to Rich Foreign Dummies, but the then argues we have to import the Rich foreign Dummies to do the jobs our Aussie kids DON'T HAVE THE SKILLS TO DO!!! B^p

Aussies don't oppose immigration, it built this country, but to spend our tax dollars on the education of foreign students ahead of our own, and then have to import them to make up for skills shortages is wasteful incompetence.

Howard is good at political stunts, but f*** all else.

"The director of Monash University's Centre for Population and Urban Research, Doctor Bob Birrell, says his latest study was prompted by recent comments by the Federal Government that getting a trade was a sound alternative to going to university."

"He says areas like health, engineering and accounting are all suffering shortages, due in part to a failure to ensure more students take up university courses. And he says poorly targeted send immigration schemes don't solve the problem.

"There's now significant shortages emerging in the professions, which the Government is filling by turning on the immigration tap. And so what we're saying is that that advice is incorrect, and moreover the Government should be expanding domestic training in professional fields, not stabilising it, as has been the case for the past decade.

Our first priority as a nation is to provide opportunity for our own people, and manifestly that's not happening."
