At first I couldn't understand why Howard would make Turnbull his heir apparent.
Turnbull's an avowed republican who was appointed by Keating to head the Republican Advisory Committee.
He was also director of Ausflag which was charged with peeing the Union Jack off the Australian flag.
Why would Howard appoint him to a senior portfolio?
I mean what have they got in common?
What would make Turnbull suitable to be a future Liberal Party leader?
And then it hit me..........
He's a liar, a political harlot and an opportunist.
He no longer feels that a referendum on the republic is justified.
He did a McGauran by joining Ausflag's arch-rival, the Australian National Flag buttociation which is dedicated to preserving the existing flag.
Let's face it, with morals like that, he's a shoe-in to become leader of the Liberal Party.
But his qualifications for the job go on..........
Stacking the Wentworth branch of the Liberal Party by busing in 400 new members.
Monstering his wife, when she was Sydney's Lord Mayor, to get the city council to boycott the Sydney Peace Prize to Palestinian peace activist Hanan Ashrawi in order to suck up to the Jewish community in Wentworth.
Paying Google to put his web page up when anyone did a search for "Wentworth" or the than candidate Peter King. King told parliament that he had been electronically stalked, personally abused and that his supporters had been threatened with expulsion from the party.
No wonder the Liberal Party are falling over themselves to promote him.
He's also a catholic who will continue Howards attack on public education.
I'm starting to understand why his mother peeed off when he was young.
I wonder if he's backflipped on this as well?....
"history judges wars by their outcomes and it may well be that history will judge (US President) George Bush's decision to invade Iraq as an error" - Malcolm Turnbull, Liberal candidate, Bondi Forum 9-8-2004.
Silly me! of course he has.
As I said before, the man's a whore.
