Are you saying that when they took the Guards "arms", the Guards only had machetes? If not, then trhe rebels clearly had guns from this point on. The history books don't seem to detail the weaponry because they believe that when they talk about "armed rebellion" and the seizing of barracks, they expect that a normal reader would expect that they had appropriate weapons for taking on a guarded defensive position like a barracks that was defended with guns. Sadly you display a level of stupidity far below that which any author would bother addressing.
Why is it so important to your hate riddled, peanut-sized reptilian brain to require that the rebllion was not backed by any guns, and that every quoted armed attack was done with "machetes"?
