There were about 6 changes of government between the time we are talking about and the Castro dictatorship. Prior to US control after teh Spanish American war the Spanish owned the entire productive capacity of Cuba and there were very few land owners and the population was totally repressed. You are totally clueless.

Try reading up on Cuba under the Spanish. Then you will realise that the population never controlled the land, and that this improved under the US control.

They weren't repressed. Law and order was restored and the country was returned to a local civil administration democratically elected by the Cubans. Noone was end, no secret police were required. You are just a total moron. The same problems have occurred in most former Spanish colonies. The control of the land was held by a few families and corruption was rife. Democracy in this environment usually only produces governments that maintain the corruption. The US had nothing to do with that.

The country was a protectorate of the US and the use of US military was both sanctioned by the Cuban consbreastution and called for by their government. Your statement is as stupid as saying that Australian forces invaded the Solomons when they were asked to go there.

Nope. The US owned some of the productive capacity, the Cubans owned some, the Spanish owned some. The difference you will find is that the US actually paid for whatever they owned.

If you need to lie to yourself, fine. You might want to explain the 6 other governments that occurred between 1906 and Castro. You might want to explain why 2 decades pbutted since the removal of the Platt Amendment before Castro, and that these years had democratically elected (and corrupt) governments.

Yup, but do you really want the US to fix this? Isn't it best left with the Cubans? All the US did was stop a civil war and allow another election. In doing so the corrupt US leaning government was replaced by a US administrator and 3 years later elections were held in which the parties supporting the original rebellion won and took office.
