one time, i told my mother to tell my sister that i had bought her a birthday present.

a tanzanite a 6mm that is the perfect violet.

it said on the label that it is a blue green tanzanite but it didn't look like one.

this one didn't seem to have any green so i was happy to give it up.

i have mentioned before that i collect the greener ones.

i only have a few little ones, but they are what i like.

my sister likes violet though.

so the mislabelling made it a perfect present for her.

so i decided to put my little stones and a few pieces of jewelry of what i accumulated in the safety deposit box when i get back to roanoke.

instead, i mistook it for trash and put it in the trash compactor.

like lucille ball in one of her shows, i dug through the vats til i found it.

i think i recovered nearly everything unbelievably mostly undamaged, but mostly i was so happy to get the stuff back i could not be upset

it took about an hour and boy did i stink from standing in the trash compactor and picking through trash

i will wait for a special occasion. it's quite a large tin not meant for consumption by one person

but i do love it

i didn't know that is what it was called. though i have certainly seen them often enough in art, museums and movies
