Jizya is paid by non Muslims who live under the Islamic state. All Muslims are required to pay the zakah, so how could it be fair for non Muslims to live in the state and have its benefits and privillages and not pay any tax? Dishonest "researchers of Islam" will not tell you this fact, but jizya is not something additional, but it is a different name for the same tax paid by all Muslims, i.e. Zakah!!
Secondly, women study the Quran as much as men do. Do not confuse local culture and customs of some muslim countries with Islam.....in fact there have been great women scholars, jurists, judges and experts of Islam throughout our history. More than you can say for Christians or Jews.
And no, there is no compulsion in religion. Unlike the Spanish inquisition, we never had any mbutt liquidates in the name of Islam throughout our history. As horrible as OBL is, he is nothing in front of George, who has slaugheterd hundreds of thousands as revenge in Iraq and Afghanistan. As stated above, no one can hold a candle to the inferno that has been Christian terrorism throughout the last 2000 years, from Paul persecuting followers of Jesus PBUH to the latest man Hitler, they were all so called trinitarian Christians!
