That must have been a statement from within the US. Nobody in India suggested outsourcing is good for US workers. I would say it is guaranteed to put the bulk of american programmers out of business i.e. they will have to do something besides programming to earn their livelihood.
The sweatshop environment has been created by industry & politicians. They want to bring in workers on restricted rights and that is what makes for that environment. The laws mandating restricted rights for foreigners have *NOT* been created by Indians.
Do you actually have a problem with just 3rd world scum entering the US or with 3rd world poverty competing with the first world? The former can be legislated -the latter CANNOT -if you understand what the word "sovereignity" means. Hint:- None of your govt's legislation applies in India and it is legal to desecrate the anmerican flag in India.
It is grabbing market share because people here are willing to go the extra mile to retain their jobs and have provided greater productivity for lesser salaries. I guess they are within their rights to do all of the above.
We have more freedom in India -and environmental laws are a non-issue for s-w industry.
