Lester Mosley

Hi Lester,

thank you for posting directly at HAPLIF BLOGGING!

I thought now - for the time being - I won't reply to it there directly for two reasons:

- It is very much appropriate that your name shows up there and remains for quite some time. Thus, you (we) may always get back to your message there when tackling your personal issue.

marika Lester's most appreciated posting at HAPLIF BLOGGING Another term was "tackling" - and, I guess, Lester knows what is meant as regards getting a foot into Germany's job (offers) market for people...

- And - in addition - it might inspire some other readers to reply to you there directly - in order to get this blogging thing started (additionally by involving third parties).

I don't know the actual atbreastude of the US Immigration Office towards EU citizens and those from other parts of the world. My guess is, too, that there might be some differences.

When I applied for a Green Card I also had to demonstrate that there would be no person available in the US that could do a similar outstanding job - for the benefits of the US - like I did, then. I came on the basis of a 'Certificate of Eligibility' (issued by CDS International, New York) to the USA (post-graduate studies and job training - altogether 18 month), having been pre-selected by a one-day examination at CDG in Cologne (for economics or BA graduates with professional background in commerce or industry).

I'm still adrift on this one, but since the comment wasn't addressed to me, I won't belabor it. mine, 4,550 as of yesterday. because they'd be buttigned to comb through 4,550 posts. quite...

However, while I had a real good manager's job (Park Avenue, Manhattan) I did try to prolong my stay by applying for a Green Card (permanent residence with a work-permit). At the application, I presented a dossier of about 100 pages in order to 'establish' mysort ofsuperior qualification in the specific professional field (I decided to make it up for "market research") together with a rather perfect knowledge of several languages (other than fluent English in speaking and writing).

LM: "I looked at this for the "from USA" and it seems I am just a few years to old to qualify or do not have a Master Degree."

Ah, well, then this won't be appropriate for you. You (we) have got to watch out for other possibilities.

LM: "It is sad there isn't a program that wants to improve relations, share a bit of culture exchange, learn some of the language and get a chance to work in the country. I would be willing to do that, but I also have some obligations to bills here, I would still need an income."

Lester Mosley Let's be pioneers :)) Yeah, here is some additional stuff for you - and, of course, for Marika, too: Job search for professionals from abroad Germany HAPLIF.net enables cosmopolitan meta-discourse BURDA - "Digital...

Well, I guess it would be most appropriate to check the job searches situation at Amazon.de, Bertelsmann or other corporations (to still find out) - to apply there (maybe) directly.

Swearing at US Immigration Office - "communist issue"

LM: "I did not know this, I have to ask a co-worker that came from South Vietnam on this and see what he says. He is now an US citizen though."

Frank Kalder Yes, I may not check it often, but please foward anything to me. I look foward to it. We had a shortage of IT workers...

I'm curious about what he'd report in that context.

CU, Frank
