Islam was founded by Muhammed who claimed that he was the last in the line of the Abrahamic prophets, and brought with him the final, unadulterated word of God. Infact muslims believe that the Kuran is the verbatim copy of the book of God that lies in Heaven (apparently that book is also written in arabic, go figure).
Now this verbatim copy contains all sorts of hatred for christians and jews. In particular, it says that jews are descended from pigs, that Allah will make jews into pigs, that a moslem must not make friends with christians and jews, that christians and jews are unclean and untrustworthy, and so on.
It does not end here. In Islamic law, christians and jews in a moslem state have a second clbutt status, much as jews in Hitler's Germany did. They are called "dhimmis" and are subject to a whole set of discriminator laws. They may not erect churches or synagogues, they may not build homes higher than any moslem home, they may not openly worship their faith, they may not bear arms, they must pay a special tax called "Jiziya", etc. Non moslems who are neither christian nor jew are considered even worse and are to be converted or end and all their places of worship destroyed. All of this is explicitly stated.
Muhammed himself led this deep hatred and violence against other religions. After spending his entire life waging war on pagans, christians and jews, his last wish on his rest bed is said to have been "let there be no two religions in arabia".
We must remember - Islam has always defined itself as the "final solution" to the christian and jewish problem. It has always claimed that in the end, it will prevail and Christianity and Judaism will die. It sees our rest as its final triumph and the will of its god allah.
