The Iraqis won't let you join in their self-determination games even if you pay them. There is nothing at all unusual in the blood-letting going on in Iraq, and nothing that the US or any other country or group of countries can do to control it.
It's a bit difficult to claim that they didn't realise, when it was clear before they started that they had no idea how disengagement would happen.
That's an irrelevancy. But keep on with those - they are your stock-in- trade.
Training? That's where the 9-11 persons, the Madrid persons, the Bali persons and the London persons trained, did they? Training in the sense you imagine is irrelevant, and the US action in Afghanistan has had no dampening effect on terrorism.
