Islam reversing centuries of human progress

The problem with Islam is that it is a faith that tries to mirror things as they were in 7th century arabia - not exactly a very civilised place. Its laws (Sharia) mirror that society, its social systems (putting women in veils) mirrors 7th century arabia, its sanction to slavery and loveual ownership of slaves by muslim men reveals how things were in 7th century arabia.

Problem is - the world has moved on. We have had great waves of human progress. The renaissance, the age of reason, the age of enlightenment, the industrial revolution, the french revolution, women's sufferage movements, democratic movements,... and so on.

But Islam sticks to its 7th century arabian faith.

We must oppose this faith because the freedom to follow it implicitly means that freedom to reject centuries of human progress. It means putting women back to the 7th century when they had no rights and were possessions of men. It means removing the concept of human rights altogether (Khomeini explicitly said that human rights was a western concept rejected by Islam).

Islam is not a "harmless" religion. It is a religion that rejects all human progress for the past 1400 years and seeks to take human society en mbutte back to 7th century arabia and its barbaric customs. Those who think we must let muslims practise their faith - think of all those people who laid down their lives to bring human rights and civilisation to where they are today. All those sacrifices will go to waste if we let Islam flourish. Islam is slavery, Islam is imprisonment of women, Islam is hatred and violence. Can we let this system flourish just because it is "politically incorrect" to oppose it? It may be politically incorrect to oppose Islam, but it is MORALLY CORRECT to oppose Islam. Everyone who has a moral conscience about human civilisation must not only oppose Islam, but demand the end of Islam, just as we demanded an end to Nazism.
