I suspect that your concern for women's rights amounts to nothing more then a crude pretext to demonize Muslims in general. If your concern for Muslim women were indeed genuine, then you would certainly be troubled with the current draft of the new Iraqi consbreastution which states "Islam is the official religion of the state and is a basic source of legislation" and that "No law can be pbutted that contradicts the undisputed rules of Islam." Translation: Women in Iraq under Sharia possible face the real prospect of loosing rights such as divorce, child custody, and inheritance etc. BTW, apparently Bush does not share your anguish over Islamist repression against women, since he endorsed this draft consbreastution. I'm not sure what Blair's role is in any of this and I'm not sure it's even relevant - being the perpetual American lapdog, he'll simply bend over once again. Now you on the other hand, knowing your pbuttion for human rights (Muslim Women in particular), will just have to figure out a way to deal with your mental distress brought on by this latest development.
