Murdoch owned India's Starnews Channel, under CEO Mukherjee, has sunk to the lowest depth of gutter journalism. I have been watching their program 'Khas baat', an in depth analysis of a news item of current interest. The episode was devoted to Amar Singh, a Samajwadi Party spokesman who has been a victim of clandestine phone tapping.
Such a phone tapping, which has been done purely for political expediency, is a serious crime that in more mature democracies can lead to government in power being toppled and politicians remotely connected with such operations being treated as petty criminal.
So, I was expecting that the program will be an attempt to answer questions as to whom, how and why Amar Singh's phone was tapped.
Instead, we had a total privateshead sycophantic servile Soniaji buttlicker Ajay Kumar complaining about Amar's Singh audacity to point to the involvement of his political opponent, namely Soniaji and her lackeys.
It is time such blatently partisan, imbecile, synchophantic, servile and petty CEO and reporters like Mukherjis and Kumars of India are given basic lessons about nature of politics and politicians and corrupting influence of power. Yes, even on Soniaji, who is wielding so much power and clout without being answerable and without being held to account by the most sickeningly sycophantic and pathetic journalists like Ajay Kumar and Mukherjee in the world.
