The word is "love", not gender.

Allow me to give you some insight to males.

The pleasure of orgasm is in common, intimacy is not. Men have no idea what "intimacy" means. But then I never listen. Just ask her.

Yes they do. But the female obsession with attractiveness and their self-esteem is driven by the primary motivator for females, time. Time is perceived as their enemy. The older they get the less they are attractive to males. The less their attraction the less likely they will breed.

Thats's why attractiveness is important to females. Their physiological drive is to get those eggs fertilized ASAP and get a male to furnish a nest. Everything else is superfluous, (Latin for BS).

To mask their unrecognized angst, women like to feel sorry for themselves. They find it energizes their pbuttive-aggressive nature. Makes 'em feisty and self-rightous.

Negative.

Men use love as a tool for power? Men affirm their self-worth through their attractiveness?

"Hey Dan, get a look at my new toenail polish!" Or, "Damn! I hope my jock line isn't showing."

Get real.

Men, particularly between ages 13 and 40, want loveual satisfaction, period. Those hormones will drive you crazy! But quenching this thirst requires only a few minutes and an appropriate receptacle. What they value is something else.

For a man, its what he can do and what he knows, not what he looks like.

Men do value the ancient Roman adage, mens sana in corpore sano, a healthy mind in a healthy body. This affirms their self-worth through the use of strength and the vitality of the mind and body. It gives us a channel for testosterone. While this combination is attractive to females, appearance for males is always secondary to performance.

That's the name of the game in societies without inflationary economies to buttress social experimentation. They don't experiment or otherwise take chances when it comes to matters of love. Its called survival.

But, take heart, you may get a dose of realism some day. When the western economy collapses, as all do eventually, these societies will lose the pretense of feminism and urban mysticism and and instead begin to rely on the strengths inherent to each love instead of a credit card.

Confused and disturbed? Idealogical conflict? They seem quite self-buttured to me. Its Western societies that have the loveual identification problems.

This has been one man's opinion.
