The priest did a good job and he is basically a good guy. I am convinced that he was a good guy turn bad for a moment out of desperation and then really regretted his mistakes and repent.
His mother did not know who came to this world first and picked him as he is a little heavier. As an elder brother the lived up to expectation. The younger twin brother is a useless, trouble maker. While the younger brother dropped out of school, he went on to complete Yr 12 and delivered the valedictory speech which indicate that he is quiet good. While young, he work part time to earn $ to help the family. When he bought himself a new pair of shoes, he also bought one for the younger brother. From reports I read, he really loved and take good care of the younger brother. I am convince this is a basically good fella who went astray out of circumstances and then realized his mistake and worked hard to redeem himself. His acceptance of his punishment is indeed a good reflection of his character. 45 sec from his hanging as he pbutted the guard who has looked after him and came to like him, he even joked " do I have a chance" in hokkien. I am convince that Singapore has made a mistake by not giving him a second chance.
