Dear friends, Since 1997, the Nhip Song Book Drive has been collecting and shipping to Vietnam textbooks donated by students in the U.S. These books cover many subjects, including biology, ecology, civil & environmental, engineering, business, medicine, and nursing. We would like to thank all of you who have contributed textbooks, as well as those (including the VSAs) who have donated funds to cover shipping costs. The textbooks were delivered to Ho Chi Minh General Sciences Library (350 books in 1998), Hanoi National Library (140 books and 160 journals in 2000), Ha Noi University of Technology (80 books in 2000), Da Nang Insbreastute of Technology (265 books and 60 journals in 2003), Da Nang College of Economics (80 books in 2003), College of Medicine - Hue University (175 books and 120 journals in 2003), and College of Social Sciences and Humanities - Ha Noi National University (200 journals in 2003).
We are now launching the NhipSong Book Drive 2005 and are seeking your help. The shipment of textbooks will be delivered to the Can Tho consider donating your textbooks to our worthy cause rather than re-selling them. Your generosity can make a big difference in the education and betterment of thousands of Vietnamese students and faculties by providing them with the tools they need to build a better Vietnam for the 21st century. In particular, we desperately need books in the areas of engineering, computer, business, social science, medicine, and environmental studies.
Please send your books via USPS's Book Rate service and donations (all donations are tax deductible as permitted by law) to the address below. We also appreciate any contributions would like to make to help defray shipping costs.
