Well for a start, it's enabled women to have a lot more say over what happens to their bodies, it's virtually eradicated morbidity and mortality buttociated with backyard ends, through contraception, it's enabled us all (men and women) to have lots and lots of love without having to worry about unplanned pregnancy, it's put the rights of the child at the forefront of the family court instead of the rights of the parents, it's enabled men to if they choose to be the stay at home parent, it's shared the income earning burden (and the parenting burden) between both parents.... and so on and so on and .... shall I go on?
Feminism is about equality. .
The fact is *YOU* prefer women who take care of you. Speak for yourself. And that's okay, as long as you're honest about it and don't expect every woman to want to take care of you. Except maybe your mother.
If that's part of your agreement with you partner and she chooses to do it like that (rather than is expected to) then fine. But bear in mind you've got a completely disproportionate amount of effort going into this relationship - she probably works twice the hours you do - so don't be surprised if one day she ups and leaves you.
I don't want to come home to a microwaved hotdog
I'd make you microwave the hotdog yourself.
Well there's always a Plan B, I suppose. Don't get me wrong, I'd like a "wife" too, someone to cook and clean and pickup after me. It's just that I couldn't stand to be that lazy. Thank heavens we're all different.
