That's odd. I have never yet seen a birth of a child from the loins of a man. In that sense, it's not a matter of choice.
As long as he is going to have the baby and be responsible for it, yes. You just said it was a matter of choice, but I think Cathryn's right - there are one or two biological problems to solve first.
To support each other and try to make sure they have equal access to the whole range of resources within the family? Sure.
What you see is a system in transition, which sometimes unfairly discriminately against men and sometimes against women. That will continue until men and women are on an equal footing in every possible way, and then the legal side of it will also apply equally. It is you who's asking for your cake and eating it too as much as any extremist 'feminist'.
As I said, it's in transition. If you work for equality between men and women as far as access to the nation's resources are concerned and not just focus on the ones where you see yourself or other men as getting squeezed, it will all even out. Some of us have been or perceived ourselves to be victims of the squeeze, but I don't think you are going the right way about evening it up.
What a load of pooeKetut Royson To be honest I'm surprised to see that comment from Dean.T., but you can f*** off on that "parochial Australian racist crap" line, because you don't have a bloody...
Sounds OK. here's mine:
As supply of a workforce increases, the demand for workers decrease, thus decreasing the pay for that specific job. If men stayed home that would reduce the number of people available to fill a position, hence leading to better pay.
Same logic, so should work equally well, except for the household muddle that would ensue until men learned how to juggle 50 things at a time. And that would be a wonderful and revealing learning experience for them.
There is a way for standing up for what's fair in a society without the tagging. If some feminists are making ridiculous buttertions - and they are - then let both men and women shoot them down. But don't act as their mirror image.
Yes it is. Except for the loonies who have their own agenda, and you should be joining with the real feminists to get through this transition period instead of wiping them off.
You really believe you can speak for all those women, don't you? Perhaps they were happy, even with their choices being more limited than they are now, but you probably don't have a real clue as to what was going through their heads as they were putting their hearts and souls into the one thing they were allowed to do - raise a family.
It says it all, really. Have you never once changed a diaper?
