V NOTRASH. Please do not email me something which you also posted. Because the baggage handlers allegedly between Brisbane and Sydney airports lax security (and made public by insiders) are...

So, WAS THERE OR WASN'T THERE a total weight presented as evidence? If so, it would have been an excellent defence argument that the police refused to confirm that the weight on arrival was the same as the weight at check-in. You really need to keep your "story" straight as previously you were arguing that there were no figures, and now you say there are. It's standard practice that only the total weight of all bags per check-in are taken.

Observer Look here you dumb needle, Amrozi ADMITS to the being involved in the plantings and pledges...

"GEOFFREY ASKEW, HEAD OF QANTAS GROUP SECURITY: No, it was not. We weigh the collective weight of baggage for pbuttengers for two reasons: One, we want to know how much weight we carry on board the aircraft, particularly the captain does, it's a weight and balance issue, it's a safety issue and, secondly, for excess baggage."

"But lawyer Lily Lubis said that so far they had not received any positive response to the request nor to requests for information from Australian Airlines on the weight of Ms Corby's luggage when she checked in at Brisbane airport."

So, in order to see whether she had to pay excess baggage, the weight of the bags at check-in MUST have been recorded. Where are the figures?

Why didn't the defence go further into this?

So, what's wrong with the family getting the bags weighed independently? Or getting other bags of same manufacture & another boogie board & weighing it & looking for a 4kg discrepancy?

The simple fact is that the defence DIDN'T DO IT. You can't go blaming the prosecution all the time here when it's obvious that the defence team didn't do it's job.
