Oh dear, another poorly educated cracker who needs someone else to do his thinking for him.

Fortunately I have already pointed out some of the key numbers;

Howards tax scam is basically the introduction of a a tax system that AUTOMATICALLY increases the tax gouge with inflation! Unlike bracket creep, which only increases your tax rate as income (capacity to pay) rises, the GST take increases with every price rise.. and we all know how consistent price rises are! The problem with such regressive taxes is clear, the tax goes up with prices, even if your income hasn't.. and those whose incomes go up most slowly, the battlers, are the ones who bear the ever increasing burden;

Giving the low-income workers a few dollars less income tax, as 'compensation' for introducing the GST, or to win an election, is a cruel joke;

Lets see how it works for the latest 'income tax cut', where workers on average incomes got $6.

With petrol at $1-39 cents a litre the GST is 12.6 cents a litre,

Howard claws back that $6 EVERY time you fill your tank with 47 litres, or more.

As petrol prices inexorably rise, (as they have since the war on Iraq) he will get it back for ever smaller amounts of petrol.

Of course, if you fill you tank with more than 47 litres, you give him back more than that $6 f***-over...every fill-up.

And you keep lining Howards coffers EVERY time you fill your tank.... how many times do you think he has 'recovered' that $6 by now?

Naturally the same thing occurs many times over because the GST is not just on petrol, but on almost everything, and price rises for those goods and services also generates automatic tax increases.

How do you think they became the RECORD HIGHEST taxing government we have ever had... rolling in your hard-earned?

Well, on just that one product, fuel, the price has doubled since the GST was introduced and thus the GST gouge has also doubled.

BILLIONS of dollars have been collected as a result, and when all the other goods and services, with the constant ratcheting upwards due to inflation.. the new tax gouge is tens of billions of our hard earned dollars.

Now the important question is.. which is rising faster, average wages or petrol prices?

And once Howard's Industrial Repression legislation is enacted, wage growth will slow even more.

So what do you get from a government rolling in our money?

Reductions in health and education your family receives, telling workers we can no longer afford decent wages and conditions, peeing it allaway on bribing Nationals to f***-over our telecommunications, killing foreigners for no good reason... and to distract from ALL of these f***-ups.. putting kids in razor wire gulags, deporting Aussie citizens, raising the fridge-magnet Alert to Code Yellow and taking away our long held rights.. (there has never been an attack on our soil, and there is no indication that persons will be deterred by making it a criminal offence to leave your baggage un-attended! B^p

Howards only fiscal accomplishemnt will be the introduction of a tax.. and a mbuttively regressive, AUTOMATICALLY increasing one, at that!
