Some of us have been drawing attention to non-renewable fossil fuels and alternative energy sources for some time.. but the issue is POLITICAL.. short sighted leaders who are completely inert on the issue and will not take action until it is too late.
Apparently Howard had a plan to do something, sometime, but he was planning to RAISE petrol taxes HIGHER before he started! and even then it was half a percent of bugger all.
Ah, but that's the silver lining of high fuel costs, sales of 4WDs are stagnant.
The Hydrogen car and cold fusion have also gone off the radar.
