Hardly Surprising, he is hardly going to allow ordinary Australians to keep a new benefit that the booming economy can give in support of GENUINE family values, when he is stripping workers of all the other benefits famileis rely on, such as CHOICE about belinging to a Union, maternity leave, long service leave, protection against unfair dismissal, annual leave, sick leave, lunch breaks.. you name it, it is ALL up for negotiation,

Anyone remember how Howard wouldn't even debate the pending invasion of Iraq in parliament, claiming no 'decision' had been made. He said that while the troops embarked, he said it while they sailed to teh Gulf, he said it while the American planes planted Iraqi missile defence, he said it while Australian SAS covertly invaded Iraq.
When the invasion was announced, it was too late to debate.
